DESCRIPTION

This training prepares its participants to provide daily maintenance cleaning services in a variety of environments. Graduates of the module develop strong customer service, teamwork, initiative, and problem-solving skills, enabling them to work professionally and independently in many different settings.

Those who complete the training can work in a range of customer locations, ensuring that premises remain clean, safe, and welcoming. Typical workplaces include schools, daycare centers, hotels, offices, and other public or private facilities.

The training is highly practical and includes a workplace learning period in a real work environment through a training agreement, allowing participants to apply their skills and gain valuable hands-on experience.

DURATION OF THE EDUCATION

The duration of the training is about six months, according to Personal competence development plan.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Good health and interest in the cleaning industry, sufficient proficiency in the English language.

IMPLEMENTATION

The training has a strong practical focus and is primarily carried out through on-site instruction at the school. In-person classes are held three to four days per week, with an additional one or two days of remote learning. During workplace learning periods, participants will follow the working hours and practices of the host company.

The programme includes practical workplace learning, providing valuable hands-on experience in real work environments. This opportunity will also enable participants to form connections with employers and expand their network within the cleaning industry.

LANGUANGE OF INSTRUCTION

The language of instruction and all training materials are in English. Participants will also learn essential Finnish terminology commonly used in the cleaning sector.

PLACE OF EDUCATION

The training takes place at the premises of the Hansa campus, Ruutikellarintie 2, Sepänkyläntie 16, 65100 VAASA.

SELECTION EVENTS

Interviews will be held between 29th – 30th of September at the Ostrobothnia Employment Services office in the Government Building (Virastotalo). Invitations to interviews will be sent via Suomi.fi and text message.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Labour policy education is primarily intended for unemployed individuals and those at risk of unemployment, who are clients of the Ostrobothnia employment services and whose job search is registered with the employment services. Labour policy education is free of charge for students. During the education, unemployment benefits and expense allowances may be paid.
