Vamia

Vamia was launched on 1 January 2017 as three educational institutions merged into one. These three were Vaasa Vocational Institute, Vaasa Adult Education Centre and the regional apprenticeship training centre (Vaasan Rannikkoseudun Oppisopimustoimisto). Vamia is a multi-disciplinary vocational education provider with over 7,000 students every year. Vamia provides vocational education for the young (age 16 and up), adult students and for companies and entrepreneurs in Finnish, Swedish and English.

At Vamia it is possible to study for a degree in nearly 60 different basic, further and specialist vocational qualifications which are available in our over 40 study programmes. The study programmes belong to six fields of education; Energy Services, Wellbeing Services, Business Services, Tourism Services, Technology Services and General Education Services. Vamia is located on two campuses – Sampo and Hansa.
