Vamia is participating in the National Sustainability Week by organising a variety of sustainability-themed activities for students and staff. Throughout the week, participants will explore topics such as the green transition, circular economy, green technology and future skills, while examining how sustainable solutions are shaping different sectors and the future world of work.
The programme includes field-specific activities, sustainability-focused lectures, and the Green Skills Week events Voices of the Future and Future Mobility. These events bring together entrepreneurs, students, teachers and representatives from working life to discuss future skills, entrepreneurship and solutions for the green transition, with a special focus on the automotive and construction sectors.
During the week, students and staff will also participate in Green Skills Week events organised in cooperation with Vamia, Novia University of Applied Sciences, the University of Vaasa, VAMK University of Applied Sciences, Yrkesakademin i Österbotten (YA), VASEK and Merinova.
Vamia will also highlight the importance of reducing food waste by taking part in Teese Botnia’s food waste reduction challenge, which aims to raise awareness of food waste and encourage more sustainable choices in basic and upper secondary school meals.
