Application closed

We have received 500 applications for both Cook and Waiter/Waitress. Both application targets are now closed!

The application for Vamia’s English-language courses has once again sparked significant interest. Unfortunately, we are only able to offer study places to a small group of interested individuals. For the Cook and Waiter/Waitress training programs, we will select 25 students from the applicant pool for each program. We have previously announced that we will accept 500 applications. Both application processes were closed approximately 40 minutes after opening. The Studyinfo system has allowed for the submission of incomplete applications even after the application officially was closed. Unfortunately, we cannot process all received applications. For both programs, we will consider the first 500 applications.

Please do not attempt to apply for Vamia’s international destinations through any other channel; other applications are intended for Finnish or Swedish-speaking applicants only. An applicant who does not demonstrate proficiency in either of these languages in their application will not be selected for training.

Language test

All applicants must have a valid Duolingo English Test (the test is valid for two years). The test score is submitted to the application. English language test is part of our scoring system and therefore it cannot be waived. We do not accept any other language tests, diplomas or qualifications as proof of language skill.

School certificates, employment or work certificates, Duolingo English Test results and a copy/photo of your passport or ID card.

Do not include in the application: bank information, health information or letters of recommendation.

“If you have been granted a residence permit for studies, you are allowed to work in paid employment in any field for an average of 30 hours per week. The number of working hours can be exceeded some weeks, as long as the average working hours are no more than 30 hours per week at the end of the year. However, your work may not slow down your studies. ”
