Youth worker Ninni Silván has started to work at Vamia at the start of September.
Ninni’s job as a youth worker at Vamia is to promote the well-being of young people, to facilitate group work and to be easily accessible to students. Ninni encourages students to approach her with any issue, whether it’s a simple chat or a bigger need for support at school or in their personal lives.
“I am here for the young people and to support them. You can also come to me with ideas for improvements to the activities organised for students. I’m looking forward to hanging out with the youth and getting to know them better,” says Ninni.
Students can meet Ninni at Hansa and Sampo campuses, especially in the Olkkari break rooms. The youth counsellor’s services are available in Finnish and English and for students up to the age of 29.
What else is belongs to Ninni’s autumn besides this new position at Vamia?
“I’m looking forward to the start of the ice hockey season and the volleyball season. I follow ice hockey and play volleyball myself. I’m also looking forward to fall colours and sweater weather.”
Ninni’s greetings to the students:
“If you see me at Vamia, come say hi and let’s get to know each other!”
