Ordering Certificate Copies

If you have graduated from Vamia or Vaasa Vocational Institute on or after August 1, 2000, you can order a diploma or other certificate through the City of Vaasa’s online service.

Verifying the Authenticity of an Electronic Certificate

Vamia is starting to deliver electronic diplomas at the turn of 2024–2025. Additionally, we will introduce other electronic certificates related to studies.

You can download and save an electronically signed certificate of student status and a transcript of records from Studyo Oy’s Atomi service. Atomi automatically adds an electronic signature to the documents, which is authenticated using certificates issued by the Finnish Digital and Population Data Services Agency (DVV).

Diploma

You will receive the electronic diploma via a link sent to your personal email. The link is valid for 30 days from the receipt of the email.

The electronic diploma signature is implemented with the certificate issued by the Finnish Digital and Population Data Services Agency, which is the strongest possible certificate and is recognized across the EU.

Verifying the Authenticity of an Electronic Certificate

You can verify the authenticity of a document electronically signed by Vamia in the Atomi Validator service below.
