Vamia is switching to distance learning for two weeks starting from January 26th 2021 because five cases of the coronavirus have been detected on Vamia’s campuses in the past seven days. All the people exposed to the coronavirus have been tracked down and quarantined.
“We have learned of several confirmed cases of the coronavirus on both campuses and I don’t see any other alternative than to switch to distance learning. I hope people stay at home now and closely follow the instructions given by the authorities,” says principal Åsa Stenbacka.
The coordinating teachers will send the students information on distance learning. Please follow Vamia’s website and social media concerning changes in teaching arrangements.
Stay at home and use the online Omaolo.fi coronavirus symptom checker if you have even mild coronavirus-related symptoms. Contact your local health centre by phone during opening hours if necessary.
